Do I send documents to Sheffield or not?

Post by Adders » Wed Sep 28, 2016 9:19 pm

Hi I hope you can help. We are applying for marriage visa so on Visa website that says settlement visa. Our solicitor says she must take all documents to appointment at Visa4UK centre in her country but Visa4UK says in there email confirming appointment that if applying for settlement visa after September 2nd then only passport and print out of application form must be taken to the appointment and all other documents sent straight to Sheffield - which do we do? Our solicitor is set on sending her there with documents but if we are told to post to Sheffield I think it might be bad for us not to?

Suggest you follow what the visa application website says you need to do.

Not required if there are only two of you and the property doesn't have multiple occupancy.

How do they term multiple occupancy - if my mother lived too which may happen though not at moment would that mean multiple occupancy thinking forward?

and thank you for continued help so much!

Your mother joining you wouldn't be considered as multiple occupancy (assuming it's not a studio flat).
