Spouse visa extension

Post by Bes1122 » Sat Oct 01, 2016 10:43 am

Hi guys

My brother in law is currently on 2.5years Spouse Visa and soon has to apply for spouse visa extension.

However dont think he can meet the financial requirments
His currently on 13k and holds saving of 5k, his missus waa redundent from BHs. And soon they are excepting a baby.

Is there any workaround? Can he apply for an alternative visa due to financial requriments?

Thanks for advice guys

He can submit a FLR(FP) application - partner route. This is a 10 year route to settlement, although I believe he can vary this to FLR(M) once he and his wife are able to meet the £18,600 annual income level.

An application should be submitted before his current visa expires.

Only savings of £16,000 or over will be considered to make up any shortfall in earnings.
