A tad concerned

Post by meunier » Mon Oct 03, 2016 1:18 am

Can someone help me ... Am I worrying unnecessarily ??? .... I certainly have become paranoid ... and am losing sleep.

I am a Canadian who has had ILR since 1997. I was away for five days last week and re-entered the UK late on Saturday night. The boarder control officer was very pleasant and spoke with me. He did stamp my passport with his numbered stamp and gave me back my old passport with my ILR in it. He, however, didn't write VIPP in it, i.e. around his stamp ... and as I was walking away I thought I saw him turn over my boarding pass. I'm not sure ... but I have - as I said - been losing sleep - and paranoia has set in.

If something WAS wrong ... would they tell me?

I will be grateful for your kind advice. Bless you for your kind consideration.

If he saw your ILR in your expired passport, then you should probably be okay.

Was it just a date stamp or were there any conditions clearly attached?
