Child born Abroad in Pakistan to a British Father

Post by swarjbutt » Mon Oct 03, 2016 3:22 pm

I need a advice about my child passport application .
My son was born last year in Pakistan and i am British citizen since 2012.I am married in uk but my child was born from 2nd wife in Pakistan, both child and my 2nd wife live in Pakistan and never been to UK. I know uk law does not allow 2nd marriage. i wanted to know if i can apply for passport of my son from Pakistan. He was born after i become British and i am named on child birth certificate in Pakistan as well.

Being named on the child's birth certificate is no longer sufficient to prove paternity. You may want to read the following article by Freemovement.
