20 Year immigration rule application

Post by lonewolf1947 » Wed Oct 05, 2016 5:22 pm

Hi guys,
Please could anyone tell me if there are any "stop the clock" events that could affect an application on 20 Year Immigration Leave to Remain application being refused.

Secondly, is the 20-year immigration rule a confirmed application to allow undocumented people gain a stay, or this application can be refused for any reason.
Thanks.

What type of 'stop the clock' scenarios were you thinking there were?

Any application can be refused. There are no guarantees. 20 years is not indefinite leave to remain application. It is another 10 year route to indefinite leave to remain (4 x 2.5 year visas).

You should find this article by Freemovement helpful. There doesn't appear to be any clock stopping provisions.

guys,
I was saying, like in previous 14 year rule, there was a clock stopping event like issuance of IS151A breaking the 14 year continutous stay.

so i was thinking whehther or not there something for 20 year rule as well that can hinder your application for stay.
