Schengen Visa

Post by WhiteSwan2016 » Mon Oct 10, 2016 10:00 pm

Hello,

Apologies if this has been asked before, I have been going through thread after thread but nothing to appease my concerns.

I was looking to take my wife away for her birthday in December for a short weekend city break in Europe(most likely Prague). She is on a FLR(M) spouse visa which is due for renewal in March.

From what I gather she will need to apply for a Schengen visa despite information on the Czech embassy pages detailing about residence permits for friends and family members due to the different wording.

If this is the case, all we seem to find is that we can only apply in person. The problem for us is that we are based in the West Midlands, and all the embassies appear to be in either Manchester and London and are only open for appointments Monday-Friday.

This is not feasible for us working 9-5 jobs and the only holiday we have left we were going to use on the short trip away. Is it possible to apply for a Schengen to anywhere via Birmingham or non appointment, otherwise we will have the disappointment of not being able to visit anywhere.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
