Another question on ILR Parent & a New Born

Post by Mezo » Tue Oct 18, 2016 9:21 pm

Hey all,

Hope this finds you well.
I know it's been discussed again and again from what i'v seen doing my research here.

but here is what I just want to make sure of and I didn't find it mentioned in the other posts.

My wife holds both an Angolan (with ILR) and Portuguese passport, and we just had a new born baby boy 2 months old (born in the UK), and planning to use her Angolan passport with the ILR to get our baby boy the British Passport, but here is what am not sure about, she was given the ILR in her Angolan passport 20 years ago (never lived out of the UK since she was 2) so her passport with the ILR is expired, and her new Angolan passport expired a month ago.

SO.. here is my question do we just send in the Form from the post office and attach her old Angolan passport that has the ILR stamp? and that should be enough? or do they need as well the new updated Angolan passport?

I asked the Post Office when I was there but the lady she just mumbled and said bring both and pay for check and send then will let you know which is which, and I dont want to go back and forword, just want to have everything ready and sent in one go even though will be paying for the check and send regardless.

If anyone knows about this would be a great help.

Many Thanks
Maz
