Insha Allah you and everyone waiting will get good news.
however, your received your docs quite late? my friend has the same situation- paid for priority and forgot to send prepaid envelope. but he did send the envelope few days after he sent original docs and did not receive his docs back yet. 10 weeks have already passed for him. I wish you all the best.
it is probably they are doing rigorous checks. some people have received the results within one of the biometric day. it is all on luck.
btw i have received my docs back after 3 days of docs submission and did my 1st status update ad they came back with- it is yet to be assessed by ECO....i am too starting to get a bit anxious but Insha Allah all will be ok :)
Yes that's the first status email I received from them. I just checked my documents and realise I forgot to send priority print out however my wife when visited vfs for biometric provide them with a print out and they mentioned it on passport envelope. Does it effect timings in process.

i am not sure if it affects the timings or not. however i did attached the priority receipt in my docs as well as my wife took it to Gerry's office on biometric day. having said that, my friend who is still waiting for his decision called them yesterday and asked them why he has not not they sent his docs back and mentioned about priority. Also, he asked them if the priority receipt was needed with the document sent. the reply was that ECO would expect the receipt to be shown with the application document and it could have an affect on the timing. and they also said that turn around time is 12 weeks to 24 weeks for spouse application now. I am not sure how it works. it should automatically show on their system if priority is paid.

still waiting! My solicitor has sent Sheffield an email requesting a refund for the priority fee! As the system crashed no invoice, but money was taken out of my account! Let's see hope I get my money back! Two months and no news it's a long painful wait!

My solicitor has emailed them too but no reply yet! And i doubt it if they'd issue a refund for priority fees.

when did your solicitor send them an email? My case slightly different as we have had confirmation that it's in a normal que not priority! There was no invoice so they have treated it as non priority even tough they took the extra money ;-(,!

Xmas coming will slow things down even more!

hi
the friend i mentioned last week.. he got good news todat and his wife got the visa.
1 thing we were discussing with regards to priority...
when his wife submitted the application and vac gave her the receipt and on that thay never mentioned anything priority applicti9n even though he paid online payment... i was checking mine and it says priority application and i called them last week friday and they did confirm mine was priority application...
i guess i really depends on individual case and complexity of the case...
stay optimistic... InshaAllah will be good news for eveyone :)

Dear Casa and senior members,
I would like to thank you for always helping me and others.
My wife applied for her spouse visa from Karachi,Pakistan, we paid fro priority service.
Timeline
Online application 04/11/2016
Biometric 11/11/2016
Documents reached Sheffield 16/11/2016
Documents received back 23/11/2016

Emailed on 01/12/2016 for the status check they emailed back saying that decision has been made and an applicant will be contacted soon.
Now our worry is that they sent every single document back within a week and although all the original documents and photos have been shuffled through, the bundle of communication evidence and the bundle of photocopies are untouched.
Can anyone comment on it, please
Thank you
