Hi guys,
I hope that I have come to the right place for some help and advice on my current immigration issue.
I'm due to apply for ILR with my family in a few days time, after six years on discretionary leave to remain. However in march last year my son who is now nineteen and was seventeen at the time got stopped by the police and charged with not driving in accordance with licence and without insurance in a friends car, and had only a provisional license at the time, he was bailed and given a summons to attend court which he attended and was told that the case has been dropped. (No paperwork was given, no points or fines etc) However I am aware that a new law came into force in March 2014 about conviction affecting ILR and would like to know if his application for ILR will be refused based on the fact that he was arrested and charged though not convicted.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
