Urgent help required, regarding my husband's visa..

Post by Zahra_UU » Fri Nov 04, 2016 6:31 pm

I'm a British Citizen and my Husband holds an Indian Passport. If my Husband was to come to the UK on a Standard Visitor Visa would it be possible to apply for his spouse visa while he is in the UK? Also can he be granted the Visa without leaving the Country?

No, you cannot switch like that.
That's not what visit visas are for. Visitors are expected to leave at end of visit.
And visit visas only granted if you can persuade the caseworker that the visitor will leave.

As noajthan has already advised, switching to another category of visa while in the UK as a visitor isn't permitted. Has your husband already applied for his visitor visa?

Regarding a spouse settlement visa application, as your husband's sponsor do you have an annual income of £18,600?
