Withdrawal of application

Post by Kaz72 » Thu Nov 17, 2016 6:33 pm

Need advice please!

1: What is the procedure to withdraw visa application?

2: Is there any chance the UKVI will refund the fees (if a visa application is withdrawn (with the very genuine reason) even before the biometric has been provided - very early stage)?

Many thanks

1. https://www.gov.uk/cancel-visa

2. " You won’t get your fee refunded if you cancel an application that you made in the UK. "

Thank you @Casa. I really appreciate your quick reply.

In this case, what if the UKVI returns a application as invalid? Will they curtail the current visa?

is this a hard and fast rule not to refund the fees or someone can requests with the genuine reason along with proofs and everything.

My understanding is that the policy not to refund the visa fee is non-negotiable.

If you still have time left on your current visa this should remain valid.
