Spouse Visa

Hi There,

I am wondering whether someone can advice me on my situation below.

We applied for Spouse visa on the 12th November 2016 as premier 1 day service and the case was valid pending further investigation and I am still awaiting to hear from them.

The issue is we need the passport back urgently as we are getting married aboard on the 12th Jan 2017 and we need a respond before Christmas so we have time to cancel the wedding if the passport doesn't arrive back with a decision.

I have tried contacting the immigration office with no luck.

Can someone advice on what I do to further the process up and request we get the passport back with the decision?

I believe the reason why its pending further investigation is due to the fact that my husband has been in the UK for 10years and is on the route to get permit residence next year in September and the case worker did question why we are going down the spouse visa route when his due to get his other visa.
