British Citizenship - Tricky Employment History

Post by fame169 » Tue Dec 13, 2016 11:32 am

Hi,

I got my IRL last year on 5 years Tier 1 General.

I am in the process of applying for British citizenship and nationality and have some questions regarding the employment history.

i was self employed from Jan-2010 to March 2014. I was also directory of a Ltd company between July 2012 - September 2015. During this period, i was also in full time employment.

In my employment history, i am going to include these details but would like to check with community to make informed decision before submitting the application:

- Do i need to submit previous tax returns or company returns with my application? (The NA forms only states that if i am currently self employed then i need to send the last self assessment with the application)
- Do i need to provide exact dates or can provide an estimate dates for all my previous jobs.

Please get in touch if anyone has recently applied for nationality and has the same circumstances and has their application approved as i would like to know what was sent with the application.

Thanks in advance.

Seems fairly normal, many people have chequered histories.

Fill in all you can.
Estimate dates (month/year) if you can't recall the odd specific day.

Submit all supporting evidence to back up your case.
If something is surplus to requirements caseworker can simply ignore it.
All that is gold does not glitter; Not all those who wander are lost. E&OE.
