Moving to Algeria

Post by starlight123 » Wed Dec 14, 2016 10:34 pm

Hi all..

Im marrying my partner in Algeria in April 2017. Im UK citizen but have no intention of returning to the UK....
We have met a several times and been together a year.

I am aware that i will need to obtain a Certificiate of No Impediment.
If I get it apostiled by the FCO ( not sure if its required ) ....and then get it translated into arabic.... is it better to do the translation here in the UK prior or in Algeria? Will i need any kind of notary or stamp for the certified translation or?

Also.... as a UK citizen i will need to take a visa for Algeria.
What kind of visa can i marry on...... how do i apply for one....

any help would be so much appreciated.

Please don't send me PMs asking for immigration advice on posts that are on the open forum. If I haven't responded there, it's because I don't have the answer. I'm a moderator, not a legal professional.
