Hi I lost my wallet last night with my BRP.
I am meant to travel to a European country in 5 days (going to my bf's family for christmas)
There are no appointments at the premium centre until January, and a normal posted application will take too long as I leave Thursday. I will only be gone a week, how can I re-enter or what advice do you have?
The thing is my BRP is only valid for another month (expires end of January). The website says you need to replace it considering your BRP has at least 3 months left on it.
If I have scans of the BRP on my email and the original letter will this work? it's christmas and I'll be here alone if I can't travel

Are you intending to travel by air?

Unfortunately apart from the issues with Border Control, the airline are unlikely to allow you to travel without an original BRP.

The airline will not be a problem I am American and can travel to a european country as a visitor. My problem is re-entry to the UK.

If you file the BRP as lost it will be cancelled.
On basis of being American (nominally visafree) you should be able to make it back to border.
Then its a case of explaining your way back into UK; expect delay, stress and questioning.

What a day..... So I recieved a call from the cab who found my wallet with my BRP in it. Also realised that when reporting my BRP lost I put the number of the wrong BRP (the one allocated to me for 1 month until the actual BRP card is ready) which is in my passport and already expired. This means my BRP that has been returned to me is still active as it has a completely different ID number from the other one.
I am still good to travel correct?

Indeed.
And yes, should be all good. If reported incorrectly then it should not have been cancelled.
Give that cab driver a mince pie or something won't you!

And don't carry your BRP card around in your wallet. It isn't necessary. Put it away in a safe place with passports etc.
