Tier 2 dependant maintenance funds evidence

Dear Gurus,

Could you please help me clarify the following about Tier 2 dependant visa? As supporting documents for the maintenance funds of a dependant,
1. Can I show a bank statement of a savings account that was sent in post to home from the bank?
2. This savings account's statement was generated for six months as it has minimum one - two transactions per month including the interest debited. Therefore, it looks like that the statement only shows the balance on a particular day. Do you think this statement is acceptable?
3. Do I need to also have
i) a letter from the bank and
ii) get the statements stamped by the bank
in addition to providing the postal statements?

Please can somebody advice me, if I need bank statements plus a letter from the bank or just bank statements are enough. Do Thank you!
