mine was the same, use the case id without the first 0, i am sure when you check it, it will say decided. i think when it is decided the normal reference number doesnt work. waiting for my doc. im dying of excitement here, wish you and myself best of luck. finger crossed

Just wanted to know for those applying for a residence card as the unmarried partner of an EEA national, have any of you thought that you might be considered as an overstayer while you wait for the outcome of your application (obviously if your current visa is expiring soon)?
I received my biometrics letter and the Certification of Application letter together today and it states that I have NO RIGHT TO WORK unfortunately despite being on a Youth Mobility visa (I'm from Canada) which expires on September 7th.
I have found out that under the NEW Section 3C of the Immigration Act 1971 I would be considered as an "overstayer" as I am not protected under this clause (as I'm applying for a residence card under EEA regulation not for any other UK British based visa) while I wait for a decision on my residence card, which will take approximately 6 months from today.
Any thoughts regarding the overstaying part? I've accepted the fact that I will have to terminate my job on the 7th of September. However, I cannot fathom the fact that I'm becoming an 'overstayer' while I wait for an outcome on my residence card application. My youth mobility visa expires in 3 weeks and I don't think I will receive my residence card that fast
Also here is my timeline for my residence card as an unmarried partner of an EEA National:
Documents Sent on: 03/07/2017
Money Taken: 06/07/2017
Confirmation email received: 12/08/2017
Biometrics Letter and COA received together (with no right to work): 12/08/2017 (dated 09/08/2017)
Biometrics Done: 12/08/2017
Decision: ?????
Cheers,
Lily
Hi Ajitk,ajitk1 wrote:senyorita_09 wrote:Hi guys,
I would just like to ask if its normal to wait for 12 weeks for a biometric letter?
Timeline:
23/05/17 - Application submitted
25/05/17 - Money was taken out of the account
09/07/17 - Confirmation email received
13/07/17 - Received the biometric letter - although personal details are incorrect therefore we're waiting for another one with correct details.
Still waiting for another letter, moving towards 5 weeks, is this normal?
Does anyone have details if I can work in the mean time while waiting?
Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.[/quot
I think now they are starting to count from the time they confirm your application. In your status does it say open or awaiting decision? Many people seem to be getting their confirmation email 2 months after submission.
Whenever there is a correction required it seems to take an extraordinary amount of time to get it rectified. Perhaps scrutiny and it having to be approved by a higher authority causes the delay.
