9 months delayed naturalisation

It has been more then a year and counting since i submitted my naturalisation application and up till now i remain unclear as to when a decision will be made. My application in my view is straight forward and i cannot comprehend the delay that has transpired hitherto. You have stated that you will provide applicants with an explanation when processing times for applications exceeds your 6 months guide. I do not feel you have done this to great effect in my case.
