Hello Everyone,
just wanted to quickly pick your brains on my situation. I moved with my (non-EU) wife to Northern Ireland in June 2007, and have been living here ever since.
I applied for a Residence documentation for a EU national in 2007 as a self sufficient person , and it was issued in Sept. 2007. As far as I remember at that time Health Insurance was not a requirement, or at least it was not queried. Said that I actually held private health Insurance via my employer in Ireland (cross border worker), but have only proof of that for the last year.
So my details are:
06/07 - 06/12 => Lived as self sufficient in NI, while being in full time employment in the Republic of Ireland. Held Private Health Insurance, but only have proof for the last year.
07/12 - date => Employed in the UK with the same employer
So currently I am half a year short of 5 years employment in the UK to qualify for PR on it's own. Should I wait for July to apply for PR just based on my UK employment, or should I go ahead and apply now based on 4.5 years employment in the UK and only limited proof of Health Insurance for the self-sufficient years in the UK?
Interestingly we have proved that we had Health Insurance in the past via my wife's ILR application in 2012/2013, but don't have the documents anymore. Could I make a reference to her application to substantiate my "claims"? My wife has actually acquired British citizenship since then.
Thanks,
DSAB
