Hi all,
Currently I am under tier 5 religious worker which is temporary work visa which means I can extend the visa but can not apply for indefinite leave to remain under this category. is this right? or I still have option to apply under long residency of 10 year period?
if not then
Please can someone share their knowledge on if I can switch from
Tier 5 religious worker visa to tier 2 minister of religion while staying in UK.
the criteria says
You can also switch to a Tier 2 (General) visa if you’re:
a minister of religion, missionary or member of a religious order.
is it same as tier 5 religious worker and working as priest at hindu temple?.
or I have to go back to home country and apply again.
Thanks

All visa categories count towards ILR based on long residence.

many thanks for the reply,
i was going through the SET(O) form and have a question now,
does tier 5 religious worker comes under work permit holder category, if yes then it still allows the applicant to apply for ILR after 5 years residency
see 12B or 12C, page 76 and 77. I am a little confused between this two.
your reply is much appreciated.
thanks

Yes, but a Tier 2 Minister of Religion visa not a Tier 5 religious worker visa. Also assuming the rules don't change.
