I have an query and require your inputs please.

1. Visa type : Tier 2 General extension with same employer
2. Current expiry date : 01/02/17
3. Application submitted before current visa expiry? : Yes
4. Extension with same employer? : Yes
5. Question : As per the above details, Please could you let me know whether it is legally allowed to continue working for same employer after current visa expiry date 01/02/17 until the HO decision arrive on the visa extension as the application is submitted for the same employer and before its expiry?

Please input your thoughts and provide any links to UKBA documents which confirms the same. Many Thanks!!

I've gone through section 3C and can see it is legal to stay in UK. But the point related to 'continue to work' is not mentioned or may be I failed to find out.
