Dear all,
I'm having some issues filling in the the visa form for dependents and I hope you could help me.
I lived in the UK with my husband, and we both had a visa: I was the tier 2 main applicant and he was the partner. At some point, I needed to shortly extend my visa, but we thought it would be best if he returned home with our baby, therefore he did not renew his. My work finished on the 15th of January, but I found a new job, so I got my visa with the new sponsor and my residence permit was granted from the 9 jan 2017. My new job starts only on the 1st of Feb, so I am in Brazil helping them with their visa (they will apply for the visa before my new job effectively starts). Furthermore, the first couple of weeks I will remain in Brazil as part of the job, and the employer is of course fully aware of it. So now the questions:
In the online form, I don't know how to answer if we are living together, because I have been legally living in the UK and he in Brazil (with visits from both sides). If I answer yes, I also have to fill in the information about the current job, but if you think, now I am between jobs, so really I am not working anywhere until the new job starts. But because I have the visa, I am afraid to say I am living in Brazil (specially because the period I am between jobs is too short). Therefore, I thought about explaining this situation in the section of further information, maintaining that I am living in the UK, any thoughts on that?
Second, they ask whether we are coming together or if he is joining me later. Because the job requires I be in Brazil these couples of weeks, we are probably travelling together, but in reality (visa wise) he is joining me later, right? Any suggestions?
Third, I also read that he might be given a temporary visa, so that he has time to collect the BRP. Do you know if this is a fixed date or if it is 30 days after he enters the country (because we are not certain of how long my field trip will last here).
Sorry for the long text, and I appreciate any insights on my situation.
Thanks in advance.
