Relationship begins before divorce

I was married to a British person and I applied for spouse visa to settle with him in the UK. Things were not good and I started a relationship with my now husband in September 2015. Me and my ex registered our divorce in April 2016 and I married my now husband in May 2016. So, frankly speaking, my relationship with current husband started out as an affair.

I am in the process of applying fresh/new spouse visa to settle with my new husband. On appendix 2 form it asks "When does your relationship begin?". If I put September 2015 (before I registered divorce), would this negatively impact my application? Or as long as our marriage is registered after divorce then this should not matter.

My appointment with VFS is next week and I think everything else looks good, this is the only thing that is bugging me. Help please....

That is exactly what my initial thought was. Then I started to think how will the HO like this seeing it was an affair and I have not seen many people posting cases similarly to mine... maybe Im overthinking this!

The application is assessed against current law , regulations and requirements.
Meet them and get the visa.

Presumably previous hubby notified UKVI in
good time about previous breakdown.

Yes, I am not sure when he notified the HO but I received a decision to curtail leave email around mid May.

You say that you and your ex-husband 'registered your divorce' in April 2016. Was this when the divorce decree absolute was granted

Hi Casa, the divorce was registered in Thailand and was effective immediately.
