Standard Visitor Visa for Brother

Post by harshitguptaiitr » Tue Jan 31, 2017 2:04 pm

I have an ILR in the UK and my wife and daughter are PBS Dependent.

I plan to invite my brother, his wife and son for visit to the UK.

They will travel together in the UK, but my brother will leave in 2 weeks while his wife and son will stay for an extra 1 month. Will this split return create a problem in Visa Application?

Documents I am providing
  1. P60 form for previous tax year
  2. Last 3 months' payslips
  3. Copy of my passport and my BRP (showing I have ILR)
  4. Letter of employment from my employer
  5. 2 x Letter of invitation - one for my brother and another for his wife and his son.
Under the Visa application form, he is entering that as I earn in GBP so I will be paying for the trip. Although my brother has already paid for the flight tickets.

Are there any other documents that I need to provide?

Documents my brother and family are including:
  1. Their passports
  2. 3 x Application Forms
  3. Latest Photo
  4. Letter of employment for my brother
  5. Letter from son's school confirming enrolment and holidays
  6. Bank statement for my brother to show salary coming in
  7. Letter from my brother to say that he is happy for his money to be used for his wife and son's travel.
Are there any other documents that they need to provide?

We are mainly confused on the financial part. It is easier for me to pay in GBP so avoid currency exchange loss.

They are applying using the "new service" and not the visa4uk.fco.gov.uk website.

Please help and advise.

Since my brother's wife is a housewife, we will have to show her income as 0.

Her ties to home country are that her husband and her son (both travelling with her to UK) have ties to India.

Also that her parents and her in-laws are in the UK.

Will this be a problem?

One of the key documentation would be for the applicants to show their ties to their home country
This may include:
-Evidence of Family ties
-Properties in home country if any
-The Applicant may also produce a letter from his employer that he will be returning to continue his duties after his visit

The applicant's wife/children can be named as a dependent of the applicant. This should not be an issue
Any suggestions I make in the forum are out my personal experience and should not be taken as a legal/professional advise.
