When to extend PBS dependant leave?

Hello Gurus,

I have similar situation. Rather I got ILR this week (31/01/2017) as tier -2 PBS migrant.
my wife as a PBS dependant, has existing leave to remain until February 2018 . she is only on her second year of residency in U.K. Will her visa still be valid now ( after I got ILR)?

Does she have to apply to extend now or she can wait until her current leave is near to expire?

Her visa is valid.

She can apply to extend shortly before it expires. She will get a 3 year extension.
