Hello
I am getting an application ready on behalf of my husband (a NZ citizen, who has had ILR since 2001). He has a small business that does work in Europe and hence, he will need access to his NZ passport during the application process.
I spoke with an immigration agent, who advised that, despite applying via NCS, original docs would soon be requested and hence, they would process his passport application via the British Embassy in NZ. I'm unsure as to whether this is a valid point, or part of a sales tactic (the process costing a lot to go through the agent).
At what point have others' original docs (passport) been requested when they have applied via NCS? And is there a difference, depending on whether you applied for citizenship only or citizenship and passport at the same time?
Thank you
