Hey guys, so my fresh claim application is 15months now. Somebody told me the longer they keep it, the better the chances of approval, tho not 100% accurate but does anybody think like that too? Well first I'm looking to message the further submission unit for an update on the application as I have messaged bu solicitor and I haven't heard back from her, can I messaged them since I have a solicitor? And for those who applied and got permission to work, how long did it take to get it?

Personally the only way that worked for me was writing to the complaints department a few times. Goodluck!

No, I haven't written to them yet. I decided to message my solicitor and the next day she called saying they have granted work permit. Now she is going to send them a letter to as them to make a decision as its 14months now.

My application is 16 months now. My solicitor applied for it November so it took 2 months. I am still waiting for the new ARC card .

You can open bank account in nationwide. Take any form of id with you and any latter on your name from home office which can show your current address or if you don't have any proof of adress ask your solicitor to write a latter for u to confirm your adress or go to your Gp and ask for a latter to write a latter for you adrees to nationwide bank. But gp will charge you 10£ for the latter.. u need any id to ho yo bank your ARC card is sufficient

You can apply online for nationwide account. Once you apply online they will send you later asking you for ID and proof of adrees.. then take that later and proof of adress and ID with you to the bank so they will open your account. Or just go to bank and take one proof of adress and any iD. ARC is an ID. If you holding vilad passport so you can use it too.. you can also open bank account with Barclays.. same procedure
