@ shay007.....can we understa d what you mean by apply through flr fl... do you have partner who is British and do you have kids who is also British or you have children who has spend 7yrs in Uk.
My application is flr fp private route...I have a partner who is British and I have no kids. I have brothers who are British as well. My reason for not wanting to go back home is I have no family member over there and also the country is not a safe place at the moment among other reasons. I got confused when I received a letter to attend asylum unit at Croydon because I never applied for asylum but I was told at the screening that the reason I was told to come for interview is because of one of the reason for not wanting to go back home is fearing for my life.
Your situation is similar to mine so I can relate. I had a flr(fp) application (private route) and I was also asked to claim asylum bse my case consitutes for asylum so I was invited for an interview. I thought I would have an interview and my case would be fast tracked but unfortunately it's all been a lie. We are starting from scratch basically and we are waiting the same as the other asylum cases. I think it is a new tactic to get rid of pple applying for Flr and frustrate us.

No have not done the main interview since over 1year now and why did they told you to always signing in since you did not apply for asylum and they don't need to send you ARC since you did not apply for asylum ... unless they have cancel your flr fp and home office as put you on asylum case direct.. like me I apply for asylum direct I did not do private life okay.. you did paid application and they treat you like us because we did not do paid application and why did they told you to go for sign in why since you on paid application.
That’s what I don’t understand, they are treating my case like I applied for an asylum direct. But when I spoke to the woman at the asylum unit she said she knows I applied for private life route but because of one of reasons for not going back that’s why it’s been treated that way. But what I forgot to ask is what now happens to flr fp application? Might as well call for a refund if that’s how they want to treat my case.

Thought as much rina....I think it’s a ploy by the home office to frustrate people which is pathetic to be honest. What’s the point of frustrating people when they are trying to better themselves the right way smh

At least you just put your application in January 2019. I had been waiting waiting since 2017 then after chasing them they then asked me to apply for asylum beginning of this year because my application raised grounds for asylum. I actually thought this is great am being fast tracked but it was all in my imagination. You cannot begin to imagine the stress and frustration.

Won’t it be sensible to ask for a refund down the line because your paid application is been considered under a free application(asylum). I think I might consider that because it looks like we we are been scammed by the HO.

That's how I looked at it. Yours has definitely come quicker than mine. I received mine I think after a week.

hello GuerillaMethod .. that's good news.. ARC is always on shortage occupation and do you have article 8 in UK and do you have kids that spend 7yrs in Uk or partner who is British.
Hi,
No I don’t have Article 8 and British partner I have been waiting for two years since fresh claim.
I am told by the people who had given me supporting documents that HO has contacted them and asked about me and straight after that I received a letter to do my biometrics.

Hi,
I had student visa before so yes I have done biometric many times.
I also did it again during my initial asylum interview in 2015 of which I was refused.
So this is my biometric after 4 years

I just received a letter saying my flr fp application I submitted in January has been void due to my asylum claim submitted in June which is ridiculous because I never submitted an asylum claim. They followed it by saying asylum claim will considered accordingly and I will be refunded for my flr fp application. I don’t what’s going on to be honest, did anyone receive anything similar?

This topic is NOT for flr fp applications. It is for aslyum applications only and posting here is just taking the thread off topic and it is unfair to other users asking about their asylum apps.
You should start your own topic please
My application is related to asylum and been treated by one by the home office so it’s still related and I’m not off topic.thanks
But it is an FLR fp one that you have made now, there is a specific topic for that. Kindly start your own topic or post in the FLR fp topic and not in this one.

@Shay007
I initially had FLR application from Dec 2017 until Dec 2018 I got a letter from HO advising that I switch my application to an asylum application since most of the reasons I stated constituted an asylum claim...so after consulting a Lawyer i was advised to make that switch, so in Jan 2019 I and my family claimed asylum ...then in Feb 2019 we were granted Rights to work based on our previous Visa's as we made an in time application when we had existing leave to remain.
3 months ago ...the HO called me to confirm that they can now VOID the FLR application since I have claimed asylum properly, I told them to carry on
They eventually refunded both IHS surcharge and application fees respectively
So I think we have similar situation here, so nothing much to worry about

Hello Capt
I was in same situation when i claim asylum in 2017 ,i had many valid leave and they issued us ARC with permission to work But when my appeal rights exaust in 2018 they cancel my permission to.work based on that my appeal right exaust even though at that time my leave to enter was still exist. Now i made further submission in time when my previous leave was valid and still waiting for decision but they cancel my right to work. should i complain home office about this that they wrongly cancel my right to work even though when my leave was valid ? or just wait for further submission decison.
Please advise if u have any idea about it
Thanks

To be honest i don't really know ...my advise will be that you should speak to your solicitor about this, because from what you have mentioned it's obvious you have been on asylum process over 12 months which makes you eligible for requesting your rights to work, But at the same time i don't how it works when one has exhausted all appeal rights,
Like i said consult your Solicitor, there could be a little light in the tunnel, you never know

what i read about permission to work guidance it states PTW continue until.leave exist and one made in time application.
Anyways thank you .if anyone else has any idea about my query please guide me.

Hopefully great news, have you done your main interview and if so how long did it take you get a date for one after doing the screening interview?
