Hello everyone,

We are trying to apply for a COS allocation so after mentioning that we need 1 COS allocation, we have to also mention the reason for it. Hence,I wanted to check if someone could kindly help us to understand what reason should we write for applying for the COS allocation.

Your kind suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Its really urgent please help!

Hi iworker,

Thanks for the prompt response.

Should it be a straight forward reason like: Potentially hiring a graduate for a position of trainee accountant

or should it be more detailed explanation. I am confused about the wordings and the content, its for hiring me as a Trainee Accountant switching from tier 4 to tier 2.

Thanks very much.

well to start with, its not you who needs to fill this, this would be your employer.
He should know this by reading the guidance.
But yes if they put the details of the reason they need a cos, it should be enough. Mentioning rlmt, adds, tier 4 visa convert etc should help.

Hi iworker,
I have same question. but I am extending Tier 2 VISA. While giving reason, is it mandatory to mention about the current salary also?

kind regards
kumar

For extension, just saying extension of current employee should do

One little point - the role of trainee accountant does not meet the requirements for Tier 2 sponsorship. Only fully qualified chartered or certified accountants meet NQF6 and the SOC 2421.
