Fiancee visa to FLR(M)

Post by BB29 » Mon Feb 27, 2017 11:52 am

Good Morning,

My finacee succesfully received her fiancee visa at the end of last year and I'd like to thank the people on this board for the help. We are getting married on 25th March 2017 and then shortly after want to do the FLR(M) at a premium visa centre because 3 weeks after our ceremony here we are going to have a "celebration" in her home country. I have just have a few queries which I am struggling to find an answer for online:

1. Can we still live at my mum's house? I am sure I read something about with a spouse visa you have to have your own accommodation but I might be wrong. For the fiancee visa we just used a letter from my mum with proof of her ownership and title deeds.

2. I was just looking online and when I can book a visa appointment at the Croyden centre and I entered some false details just to look at appointment times and it says "We do not have any appointments in the next 42 days at your selected location." Is this correct? I changed the location to Sheffield and there were loads of appointments available, starting from 6th March. Can I go to any centre or does it have to be the closest to where I live?

3. My fiancee is currently in China and will be arriving on 11th March. On the FLR(M) online form to book the appointment it says - is the applicant in the country? The answer is technically no, but she will be in when we go to the appointment. Can I click yes and book the appointment?

4. Can I complete the application form and make the appointment before we actually get married on 25th March? Of course, I realise if something goes wrong and the wedding doesn't happen then I'll be out of pocket.

Thank your for your time

Yes you can. There is no requirement in the rules that you must have your own accommodation. Wherever you stay must not be overcrowded.

Croyden at present, based on other members experience, shows only 20 odd days in advance.

She should only apply once she is in the UK and you are married.
4. Can I complete the application form and make the appointment before we actually get married on 25th March? Of course, I realise if something goes wrong and the wedding doesn't happen then I'll be out of pocket.
Suggest do the necessary once you are married.
