Hello all,

Just to inform that I got the decision on 13/01 and received my residence cards today.

One question :

They have put the expiry date as for the 31/12/2024 and that's not 2.5 years away from now. Strugling to understand why and wondering..Should I complain?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Presumably you are referring to the brp card. The pamphlet you get with it would explain, as does the ukvi website!!

https://www.gov.uk/biometric-residence- ... rt-problem
If your BRP expires on 31 December 2024
You do not need to tell UKVI if your BRP expires on 31 December 2024 but your immigration status (for example, your visa) allows you to stay longer.

You will not need a BRP from 1 January 2025. You’ll be able to prove your immigration status online, without a BRP.

UKVI will update their information on how to prove your immigration status in early 2024. You do not need to do anything and your immigration status will not be affected.

You got your email on the same day as me 😁 I applied in April.

Still waiting for the passports though, the BRP arrived two days after.

Things are moving quicker now and not 11 months as the lady from Croydon mentioned when I went for biometrics.

Hi all

I wanted to know when I did application FLR FP for my wife's 3rd extension in 2020 july it took around 8 weeks from biometric date which was done in September 2020 to get visa.

Now will apply for the 4th and last extension

This is what Home Office say taken as we know If you’re currently applying under a 10-year route to settlement (or 5-year parent route to settlement), there are no standard processing times for applications submitted as a partner, parent or on the basis of your private life. The average wait time for a decision is currently 10 months. We are working hard to reduce this. Please note that there may be circumstances which result in your application taking slightly longer.

Average waiting time is 10 months has anyone got decision before 10 months.

First application based under a british child granted on a 10yr route.
No lawyer involved, I did everything myself and didn't apply for a fee waiver.

Application date: May 1, 2022
Documents upload: May 30, 2022
Decision: Jan 26, 2023 (Took almost 9 months)
Waiting for BRP card
No public funds

Contacted my MP on Jan 4, 2023, MP contacted HO on Jan 13, 2023. Haven't received HO reply from MP but i think that might have played a role.

Alhamdulillah and goodluck to everyone waiting.

Flr(fp) 10 year route settlement last extension
Apply:19th January 2023
Service: super priority
Biometric done: 8 am 1st of February
Decision: same day 15:00 granted

It’s worth paying extra £800

Rather than waiting months and year

Im not paying any extra to the HO no way they want you to pay extra to get your decision quicker.

I will wait

If you apply for a fee waiver let's say early August it will normally take around 4 weeks for them to process your request. If it fails or succeeds, you have 28 days to submit your application for the extension. If your leave expires and your application for the fee waiver is still being considered, this won't count as you overstaying your visa.

My recent visa expired in January 2022 so I applied for the fee waiver a week before it's expire date. It took them just over 5 weeks to allow the fee waiver then I submitted my extension application shortly afterwards.

'You’ll get a confirmation email from the Home Office once you’ve applied.

If your application is approved, you’ll get an email or letter with a personalised code (called a ‘token’). Use this code in your visa application.

You must apply for your visa and give your fingerprints and a photo (‘biometric information’) within 28 days of getting your decision email or letter.''

Hi,

I have received this message from them after I emailed them on Friday

''Good morning,

I can confirm thar your passport was received in the office on 18/012023 Owing to the amount of passports we are currently returning, this is taking a little longer than expected. Passports are returned to customers in order they are received into the office.

Rest assured, your passport will be sent to you as soon as possible.

Regards''

I mean, as soon as possible can mean anything and it's been almsot a month so far. It's ridiculous.!
