September 2016- Postal application submitted
October 2016- Biometric done
November 2017- refused (reason of refusal no Insurmountable obstacles) but given in country right to appeal
May 2018- court hearing
June 2018- Determination letter received, Judges allowed my appeal
July 2018- Home Office has not sought to appeal the determination.
What's next?
Finally you can rest in ease!
Could I please ask how your hearing went?
We have our hearing coming up in 2 weeks and to be honest i'm really scared for some reason haha.
I've never been to a court and don't know what to expect.
Did you and your partner go into the hearing together?
Did your barrister do all the talking?
Did the judge ask you any questions?
Were they easy questions?
Sorry if thats too much but would really appreciate any info you can give little or small as it would help a ton!
Thank you and congratulations once again!
Thank you so much for the assurance. It helps a lot!Nikki06 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 05, 2018 10:21 pmMrozzy124 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 26, 2018 8:36 pmBig congratulations!AlexWN wrote: ↑Wed Jul 18, 2018 1:14 pmI have recieved my BRP today!!!! Oh and I was reading your case,,,
The judge probably allowed your decision but home office may have appealed against it. Thats why its taken longer.
You can contact the court and ask them the status, they will be able to tell you
6 months isn't too long. I have waited for 8 months for a simple private life case where they have to decide if I have lived half of my life in the UK and still got no reply. I have seen people here waiting for 12 to 16 months. I don't know if contacting them helps as I have contacted them last month.oluwatoyin77 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 05, 2018 12:15 amflr mother of a British child, submitted in January 2018,2 weeks ago,my lawyer sent a reminder to the home office, because its been over 6 months now since I submitted my application, wrote a letter to my MP,to help me chase it up,my mp replied me he has sent a letter to home secretary of state on my behalf.thats it.
Ah rigjt ok, yes there must be a backlog because Home office can't do their jobs right and its then the headache of poor judges lol.Nikki06 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 05, 2018 10:53 pmPhoned them last Monday they said judge haven't made a decision yet because of backlogs.they can't put a time.so it's just a waiting game.did the same on the court day.was at 10am but went in at 3.45.it's jus it's been such a long journey and with the outcome of how my court went.my barrister said its a positive feedback.Mrozzy124 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 05, 2018 10:44 pmThank you so much.Nikki06 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 05, 2018 10:41 pm

I called my solicitor today and he said there has been no update about my application yet. Am sincerely happy for you.
