FLR FP unmarried partner

September 2016- Postal application submitted
October 2016- Biometric done
November 2017- refused (reason of refusal no Insurmountable obstacles) but given in country right to appeal

May 2018- court hearing
June 2018- Determination letter received, Judges allowed my appeal
July 2018- Home Office has not sought to appeal the determination.

What's next?
I have recieved my BRP today!!!! I'm really really pleased.
Big congratulations!

Finally you can rest in ease!
Could I please ask how your hearing went?

We have our hearing coming up in 2 weeks and to be honest i'm really scared for some reason haha.
I've never been to a court and don't know what to expect.

Did you and your partner go into the hearing together?
Did your barrister do all the talking?
Did the judge ask you any questions?
Were they easy questions?

Sorry if thats too much but would really appreciate any info you can give little or small as it would help a ton!

Thank you and congratulations once again!

Hiya All the best with your hearing.do not fear jus have your faith, that's it's done.had my hearing in June to be honest l cant say it was scary. My barrister did the talking.Home office asked question about my son's.judge only had 1 question for me.l used to be scared but the experience l had,do not be scared all the best.

Oh and I was reading your case,,,
The judge probably allowed your decision but home office may have appealed against it. Thats why its taken longer.

You can contact the court and ask them the status, they will be able to tell you

6 months isn't too long. I have waited for 8 months for a simple private life case where they have to decide if I have lived half of my life in the UK and still got no reply. I have seen people here waiting for 12 to 16 months. I don't know if contacting them helps as I have contacted them last month.

people waiting for 12months is out of the way, the standard time is between 6 to 9months,maybe your case is out of hand or you dont chase it up ,if you have a straightforward case I dont see any reason why an application will take that long, your reply is not encouraging, u replied has a lawyer who dont know what he or she's doing as a lawyer

So right, people should appreciate what they have:

Flr fp as a parent route 5 years
Applied via post : 02/10/2017
Acknowledgement letter: 5/10/2017 and my son's passport and birth certificate returned.
Bio metric letter received: 26/10/2017
Bio metric done : 31/10/2017
Calls made, chase up letter from my MP 26/03/2018.
No further document requested for yet
Decision of decision: pending
Date of brp received: pending

This is my eight month since application. Can't work and taking craps from my son's dad because I have rendered hopeless and useless that it is a struggle to feed and pay bills.
Finally got my brp dated 02/08/18... Exactly 10months after.... God be blessed

Wow, a big congratulations to you. We applied same day, though I submitted mine by post on the 27th April 2018 with a British child and a British partner. I called my solicitor today and he said there has been no update about my application yet. Am sincerely happy for you.

I did create my own post but did not get much response to it so i am posting here the same.
I need advice from respected members of this group.
We have applied in Oct 17 as a family on the basis of our child who turned 7 in sep 17. We have our biometric in following month. In feb 18 Home office sent two forms back with missing signature which we have signed and sent back within a week. Since then we have not heard anything from Home office. We have contacted our local MP four weeks ago who requested home office to provide the reason of delay and prompt action on the case. Home office did not reply to MP yet. But my Solicitor received a letter from home office on 7th Aug to provide the proof of residence of the child to confirm that we are living with child on the same address and they did say in the letter that they are aiming to take prompt action on the case once the information is provided. We have sent letter from gp, school reports and utility bills yesterday by recorded delivery.
I just want to ask if is it a positive attitude of home office that they taking long and asked for this kind of information. Or they are just delaying purposely and going to refuse. Thanks in advance
