Please I need an urgent advice, for a right to work check, which of the reference should I send to my employer: the reference for the fee waiver application or the reference for the main application? The reason for this is that a colleague who was granted fee waiver sent the main application reference confirmation and was told he does not have right to work again. He was firstly allowed to work for six months based on the fee waiver reference number.

I need your advice please.

Thanks

Hi. I can not advised, only share experiences,

If you allow to work in your previous leave and if you applied in time, meaning before your current leave or visa expired. Then you should allow to work, for employment reference, please give your home office reference number your name and date of birth. They will verify from the home office, there is dedicated phone line for employers.

Hope this will help you.

Thank you.

Thank you Flyer2pk for your quick response. I applied for fee waiver on time and the reference was sent to my employer. The check confirmed I was allowed to work. Now I have submitted the main application and my employer is asking for HO application reference again to confirm my right to work since the six months duration will soon expire. Are you suggesting I send the main application reference to them? Just want to avoid the kind situation of my colleagues.

I think, you can only give the FEE WAIVER REFERENCE for the ECS if you haven't lodged your visa application yet. Once you have sent your application online and received UNIQUE REFERENCE NUMBER(UAN). You can not use the fee waiver reference anymore, they won't find your application. You have to give them the UAN.

I know someone gave the fee waiver reference number by mistake after her visa application. The HO could not find her application but she realised her mistake and gave them the UAN and it was fine.

Application Oct 2021
Fee waiver its took 3 month.
Biometric march 2022
Still waiting first extension FLR( FP)
Sent an email to home office. Got a response to still keep waiting. Sent another recently.
The waiting is killing!!!To be honest, it is abit of mental and emotional torture.. expecially if you needed to get a job urgently and they have to go through ECS check. Some companies do not want that stress.

Hi, you need to give the main reference number for your application not the fee waiver.
I have done the same I 1st gives the fee waiver after 6 months I gives the main application num to my employer who has done ECS check and accepted for 6 months.
Hope this help.
