From what I know, I may be wrong. If you are still in a relationship with the child other parent who is British then you will have to go for a ten year route on marriage instead of parent route.

Oh man! This is just sad. Whereas other visa types are getting decisions real quick. Not sure why ours are being delayed.

I’m applying on the basis of private life via 20 year route.

Submitted: 04/Oct/2023.

Biometrics: Still waiting.

If it’s a straightforward application, will the decision time be faster? I have also submitted it 4 months earlier than the 20 years to reach. Any one in similar boat? Pls share.

There is nothing fast on or about any FLR FP application.

Thanks. Does the application being 4 months early affect the decision?

Could they say, “Hey, u haven’t reached 20 years as it’s 4 months too early, so your application is refused?”

Yes, that's is if your application is attended to on time, it means you had a shortfall in qualifying time.
Just hope the delay ends up favouring you haven stayed so long already.

True but that would be brutally harsh. Although, the reason I rushed the application was the anticipated hike in fees expected to take effect in October.

It’s quite a straightforward application. No gaps. Nothing. Fingers crossed.

It’s so long @ Amazonian
20 years in any living thing’s life isn’t a joke. If the caseworker is 30 years, he/she would be 10 years when I came into the country. 🤣.

You do not get to decide that your application is straightforward, HO has their criteria in determining this and to a layman even being on the 20yrs route does not make it straightforward.

You don't ask for it to be expedited or you will have shortfall in qualification time and your trying to beat fee increment ends costing more than an arm with the harm a quick decision will bring. So try relax and hope it's attended to after you have qualified.

You can create a spreadsheet and divide it into two
Oneside as you income ie all the sources of your incomes:benefits if applicable.(whether weekly or monthly)The otherside will be your outgoings ie your expenditure.(this can include food, clothing, electricity &gas, leisure, travel costs, phone bills etc.
I hope this helps

I applied for fee waiver on 26/05 still not heard anything back not any query or anything, right to work already expired but you can ask your employer to do a check and if application made within time your right to work will be extended for 6 months

Hello @Kindi.
It's now been 14 months and I've still heard nothing yet. Have you heard any news on your side? My Lawyer contacted the home office and they never got back to us. Not to dampen anyones mood, but someone I know who applied for his 4th extension and waited for 2 years for a response, just got a refusal😔. It just goes to show that anything can happen really. I would expect that if you were to be refused , they will inform you early on. That was quite a shock for me anyway. I pray for positive news for all of us who are still waiting 🙏

Hey guys,

I have a friend who recently applied for leave to remain private life. It's been 5 months now and she hasn't heard a word from HM. Does anyone know what is the time schedule fro these cases nowadays and if there's any email address she can contact the HM on?

Thank you
