Hi.
My husband's six months family permit expired on the 28.02.2017. The 20.02. of February we sent in our joint EEA(FM) and EEA(QP) applications for residence card and registration certificate, respectively. This was received by the HO the 21.02., as of the Royal Mail's tracking system. On the 22.02. 65 GBP was taken from my bank account, and since then they haven't taken the other 65 GBP. I don't know what to make of that? We haven't received any emails, letters or phone calls that something should be wrong or missing, but it is very strange when they recommend applying together and the same visa card is stated for the payment, and we obviously don't know which one they took the payment for.
Now my husband received a letter from our GP that he has 30 days to come in and show them a new valid visa, if not he will be unenrolled from the practice. Would it be enough to show them the CoA letter, if and when he receives that?
Also, he was supposed to go and visit a friend in France at the beginning of April, but I haven't been able to find out if it is possible to apply for the passports back before he receives and submits his biometric information? We don't have an application reference number or anything.
I tried to call the HO enquiry service, but the call is cancelled when I choose the option that my application is still within the time of processing (six months, I suppose). Is that new? Or how can I get in contact with them? I can read in here that many people have been able to speak to them during the process, maybe I'm just calling a wrong place.
I would be very grateful if someone here could help me clarify some of my doubts.
Best regards,
Maria
