Payment not withdrawn

Post by MariaGL » Sat Mar 04, 2017 2:50 pm

Hi.

My husband's six months family permit expired on the 28.02.2017. The 20.02. of February we sent in our joint EEA(FM) and EEA(QP) applications for residence card and registration certificate, respectively. This was received by the HO the 21.02., as of the Royal Mail's tracking system. On the 22.02. 65 GBP was taken from my bank account, and since then they haven't taken the other 65 GBP. I don't know what to make of that? We haven't received any emails, letters or phone calls that something should be wrong or missing, but it is very strange when they recommend applying together and the same visa card is stated for the payment, and we obviously don't know which one they took the payment for.

Now my husband received a letter from our GP that he has 30 days to come in and show them a new valid visa, if not he will be unenrolled from the practice. Would it be enough to show them the CoA letter, if and when he receives that?

Also, he was supposed to go and visit a friend in France at the beginning of April, but I haven't been able to find out if it is possible to apply for the passports back before he receives and submits his biometric information? We don't have an application reference number or anything.

I tried to call the HO enquiry service, but the call is cancelled when I choose the option that my application is still within the time of processing (six months, I suppose). Is that new? Or how can I get in contact with them? I can read in here that many people have been able to speak to them during the process, maybe I'm just calling a wrong place.

I would be very grateful if someone here could help me clarify some of my doubts.

Best regards,
Maria

Hi Maria,

My application EEA FM was received on a February 8th and the payment was not taken either until now. We called home office many times but since I don't have a case number, it's difficult to trace my status. I am in the same situation where I need to travel frequently for my work but since I don't have my passport or COA I am stuck! Please send any updates when you have any answer I will do the same

Hi Hbuk,

So, how long did it actually take them to withdraw the money? A month? The weird thing in our case is that they did withdraw the money immediately for one of our applications (in the same envelope), but we don't know for which. Did you apply together as well?
And on which number have you tried to call HO? Did you actually get through? I haven't been successful with even reaching them yet.

And do you know, when you can ask for your passports back? Only after receiving the CoA? And would you be able to travel - and reenter the UK - only with the CoA? I suppose they want to see your passport in the country you're entering, right?

I'll keep you updated as soon as I know something more, and I'll appreciate hearing about your case as well! Thank you.

Sadly, I forgot to sign the card details form so they were not able to take the payment. They are sending my pack back and I might have to re- apply which is very annoying. From what I read you can re enter with COA. I think you can request your passport once your biometrics are submitted. If the withdrawal will affect your application they will let you know. I call the usual number but early morning and it worked every time. Once I get the letter they sent I will try to update you.

Hi again Hbuk,

The 20th of March my husband and I both received and email with our different case numbers, stating that they had received our applications (send the 20th of February). Since then we have not heard anything from them, and they have still only taken the payment for one application on the 22nd of February. I have tried to call the HO from different numbers, but I always end up where a machine tells me that if my application is still within the service standard times, they cannot give me any further information. Would you please tell me which number you have been calling, and how you got through the menu to an actual person? This is very frustrating. I hope you have solved your problems.

Perhaps you should chose the number which says it is more than 6 months, that is the only time you can talk to an actual person. Goodluck

Hi Maria,

I would be grateful if you could let me know what happened with your application.

I am in the same position. Application EEA FM was received by the Home Office on 16 April and yet the fee has not been withdrawn.

On 20 June 2017 we received an email with case ID. Not sure what is happening. I have tried to contact the Home Office both by emails and telephone but to date I do not have any answers.

Entry permit has already expired in June 2017.
