Sending different documents to what's requested

Post by makeamericaGBagain » Sat Mar 04, 2017 10:58 pm

Even though I'm switching from one Tier 2 General to another, I was asked to prove that I'd studied for a masters in the UK. The options were 'Degree Certificate' and 'Official Transcript'. I was pretty positive I had my Degree Certificate in my documents, however it seems that it went missing when I moved and I only have my Official Transcript. If I send that in instead, will my application be outright rejected, or will they requested the specified document? Is there a chance they'll accept it as is?

Haven't they already seen your MSc certificate and transcripts when you initially applied under Tier 2?

My thoughts exactly. I was filling out the application wondering if they'd sent me to the wrong page but nope, everything about it indicates that it's a Tier 2 to Tier 2 switch. Actually, when I was switching from a Tier 4 to a Tier 2 last time around, they even asked for my undergraduate transcript. So maybe they like to ask for unnecessary documents from one qualification level prior just to make things difficult?
