Accommodation query

Post by Mrstexas » Tue Mar 07, 2017 10:47 pm

Hi,

I have my FLR (M) appointment at an immigration centre next week and I had a question about proof of accommodation.

My husband and I have have recently moved back in with his parents but for the last 18 months we lived in a rented flat. We have two tenancy agreements to prove we rented but one of them is a photocopy and we have no means of getting the original - is that a problem?

I'm going to get a stamped cover letter from the letting agent and the landlord as well as correspondence from utility companies as proof we resided there during the 18 month duration.

Thanks,

Should be fine. You also need more than just the tenancy agreement though.

Thank you for your reply!

As of 2 March we live with my parents-in-law. To prove we live there and that they own the property we will submit:

- one piece of correspondence in joint name
- land registry details
- covering letter from parents-in-law
- recent council tax correspondence.

For the previous property we have:

- tenancy agreements
- two year's worth of joint/individual correspondence (enough to reach the quota they need. (Do you know if a letter from a pensions company e.g. Scottish Widows counts?
- cover letter from letting agent

Thanks again,

Mrs Texas
