Proof of accommodation for Schengen Visa to France

Post by harshitguptaiitr » Mon Mar 13, 2017 9:29 am

I am applying for short stay tourist Visa to France through TLSContact.

In the document checklist, the guidance for Proof of accommodation states:
A reservation confirmation issued directly by the hotel clearly stating your full names, the dates of check-in and out, the hotel address and contact details. Hotel booking should cover the whole period of your stay. Or booking a holiday home (lease or certificate from the rental agency) Note: For group applications, please ensure that all the applicant names are included in the booking.
I have highlighted parts in bold which I need some help from board members.
  1. I booked my accommodation from hotels.com and not from hotel directly. So my confirmation is from hotels.com website. Will this be a problem?
  2. The confirmation email mentions my name, 2 adults, 1 child age 1. It does not mention name of second adult or of the child. Will this be a problem?
Please DO NOT send me a Private Message for immigration advice.

My responses are not a substitute for professional legal advice. My response does not create an attorney-client relationship, nor is it a solicitation to offer legal advice.

Hi, I just contacted my hotel directly mentioning the visa and they sent a revised confirmation very quickly.

However, I still ended up having a pi*sy wet weekend in Bournmouth not Barcelona so not too sure how good my advice is!
