IHS reference for apply to join family in UK

Hello

My name is Pranetha. I hold an indefinite leave to remain. My husband is in Malaysia and we would like to apply for him to join me here in the UK. I have filled out the online VAF4a form (settlement, settlement, husband) and the appendix 2 and the sponsor form and have all the necessary documents. Could someone please help me on how to proceed with the NHS surcharge payment. Once the application is submitted, it asks to choose a post office for collection of BRP card and then asks you to choose appointment time and place and service (standard, premium and the addition service). Once that is done it directs you to the IHS page where it asks a) are you applying to join/remain with a person already in UK and b) You dont have any dependants

If my husband chooses option (a). It asks him to enter my IHS refernce number or the expiry date of my BRP card. Since I dont have a IHS ref for my PR, if we enter the expiry on my BRP card (2024), it asks us to pay an atrocious amount of 1600 pounds. I assume on reading the many posts that he will be paying 1195 pounds plus £600 as a NHS surcharge. /

Could someone please tell me how to proceed with this.

Hi Pranetha

There was a post on this in recent days. After you submit the online application form, you will be directed to the IHS pages. The IHS pages will ask a couple of questions to complete your husband's profile. It will then ask to enter the details of the person your husband will join in the UK and also to not enter any details if the person they are joining in the UK is a British citizen. Go past this stage and don't enter your details either. It will take you to the pages for making the correct payments.

If you have already entered your details once, you will need to create a new application for your husband on the visa4UK website as there is no way to delete your details once they have been entered and confirmed I think.
