Tier 2 refused on ground of RMLT

Hi All,

Long time lurker, I applied for tier 2 change of employment visa via Sheffield PSC. I was told that they are contacting my employer to confirm few things hence decision could not be made the same day a week later today I got refusal later.

My employer was asked to email screenshot of the job adverts and provide them hierarchy chart to show my position which they did. But my visa got rejected said for not meeting RLMT, employer published advert on gumtree and universal job match. They have done similarly before and my colleague got his visa as well. I am planning to do an administrative review, any thoughts and help would be highly appreciated.

Were you offered the job AFTER the RLMT process was completed after you applied for the position?

Did the job ads meet ALL the requirements for RLMT (28 days, salary, etc)?

Thanks for reply. RLMT was done for well over 28 days, appropriate salary. One advert was with universal job match and the other was for gumtree and they said they would not accept gumtree advert. It is with same employer, i was promoted different SOC code. My employer said they have been using gumtree to find employees for more than 10 years and the company is medium size too.

Gumtree is not an appropriate advertising media, hence the failure to meet RLMT.
