Hi All,

First of all, I would like to thank each one of you for creating & actively updating the status on this forum.
For past 3.5 months this has been the only hope for me to get some updates & pointers to proceed ahead.

I would like to update regarding my case, I finally received my EEA FAMILY PERMIT on 30/10/2017.
Applied on - 18/07/2017
From - Bangalore,INDIA
Working days - 74
Escalated - 3 times
Contacted MP who enquired twice on our behalf, complained to SOLVIT & all enquiry channels listed in this forum.

Not sure what worked in our case, but finally got my permit.
I wish all the best to everyone who are eagerly waiting on this forum, hope my update gives hope to someone.

Regards,
Mitra

Arrived in London safely. Though I was detained for an hour for further checks
Hello mate

For 1 hour? Did they interview you there?

Regards
No interview. The Immigration Officer vanished for an hour to do his checks. He came back with my passport stamped saying it's all good.
Guys can I complain so that this harassment doesn't occur again? If yes, where can I ?
Thanks for your reply.

That’s weird. I don’t think u can complain About it. He should have told u how long it will be going to take.

Cheers

Hi all,
Same like baig, refusal for not showing any historical documentation or pictures from wedding, strange since i had pictures on application but no dates...guess i have to apply again.

Funny is that i cancelled my visa in the same time with decision haha, so they send decision and not cancellation. Got today e-mail:

We are writing with regards to your recent EEA FAMILY PERMIT: FAMILY MEMBER application.

Please be advised that your withdrawal request cannot be processed as a decision has now been made on your application. Your passport and documents were dispatched from the British Embassy in Manila on 02 November. You will be contacted by the Visa Application Centre (VAC) in Manila once these have been received and are ready for collection. If you have opted to have your documents couriered to you, these will be dispatched by the VAC once received. Please do not proceed to the Centre until you have been contacted.

So first decision in 140 working days, hope next one will be in 15 working days.
Good luck guys!!!

Hi All,
Interesting update on my side,
Applied 25th May 2017 for Mother in Law EEA-FP Dependant
Received email of confirmation
Received email of not straightforward
Escalated 3 times every time same answer that not straightforward
Today, Mother in law received phone call from VAC that kindly bring all supporting documents so they may scan them. A few documents are now back in UK. All other bank statements are of April.
We submitted two sets of photocopies and with bar code covering tags, They call her Monday to scan documents.
Any suggestions what should we do in this short period?

Hi all,

I see a lot of you refer to complaining to UK Solvit. Is this something the mp does on your behalf or do you do it yourself?

I have raised my issue with my MP. Should I also contact UK Solvit?

Hi Enka2018,

I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
My husband got similar email on 30/10/17 that his application is not straightforward, but haven't heard from them since then.
I'm just wondering can you just go and collect your passport after the decision is made? Just like that without any appointment ?

Hi all,

Congratulations to those who received their FP after all this stressful period of waiting.

I am in the same boat as many of you, following this thread for a while now.

Just to share my case:

16/8/17 - Applied for FP from Tel Aviv, Israel
4/9/17 - Received email not straightforward
3/10/17 - Escalated the case by email, confirmation received
19/10/17 - Second not straightforward email received
30/10/17 - Re-escalated after 20 working days

It's been 57 working days, while UKVI site stated it's 100% decision made in 15 working days for my region.
Got my FP in the past in 3 weeks. Last time in June 2017 got a refusal after two weeks of waiting.

Very frustrated right now, since my husband is in the UK for three months, and we haven't seen each other for too long. My son missed the beginning of the school year in UK, not only his father. It's a very difficult period for us.

Fingers crossed for everyone here, it should be any day now.
