Although we did get our visa , pursing the case to make the service a better experience. Well you would expect them to be proactive to check records n make the contact but it is what it is. Questions were usual who stays here , marital status , religion , employment..etc ...took no more than 5 mins.

Looks like the backlog of March/April/May is being cleared out. Hope the rest of us in these months also get the good news.

Hi,
I've been following this thread ever since I came across it (after applying) and was convinced I would need to withdraw my application in January as I needed to travel in March.

I received my Family Permit this morning and I hope that it will give some people a reason to stay optimistic about approvals and also timelines.

Applied in Bangalore (with biometrics): 5.10
Application received by Sheffield: 6.10
Not straightforward mail: 20.10
Phone escalation: 06.11
Email with subject "contact centre enquiry" but stating that they are "unable to make a decision": 13.11
Email from the British High Commission, Chennai stating that a decision has been made: 23.11
Picked up passport from VFS with my Family Permit: 24.11

I don't know if it made any difference but my husband is Irish. We thought it might be an issue that we'd been legally married a day before we last saw each other or that we'd applied for the FP a couple of months after the marriage. We've been together 4 years and have a lot of proof in terms of photos, communication and travel.

My fingers are crossed for everyone still waiting and I wish you all the best.

Congrats Moki! That's Interesting. So are they following their timelines now? You got your EEA FP in just 36 working days?

(Just an update, got an official letter from immigration minister today with reasons for delay.
We changed addresses in between and didn’t update UKVI about it. Although we wrote to Sheffield that doesn’t count it seems , you have to email them your address change with application reference. Also a tip we got the visa very next day a gentleman from our local council visited us disguised as an electrol officer. All the best!)

congrats Scott. Please which sheffied e-mail did you use to send the new adderess.cos my husband changed adderess and we have not notified them.

I just wanna share good news with you. :) Finally, after 121 working days today I've got my passport back with visa in it. I'm so happy and I can relax for a while.

As I see, a lot of us got visa in last few days, that's great actually. Thank you all for support and useful information. I believe that for all of you who are waiting for a decision, very soon that's gonna be it.

Good luck everyone,

Regards

Can we have timelines for June / July / August applications from India? I have updated my details below. Just want to see the trend - ive noticed - March , April & May seem to have been processed.

Con - Mumbai N - 31 Aug / not straightforward / still awaiting visa.

Thanks
