14 sep not straightforward mail. I followed up at least 3 times after 15 days each. Earlier this month after reading on this forum i contacted Solvit; solvit responded immediately. Last tuesday Solvit sent me an email stating that they have escalated my case to UK Solvit. I am certain that Solvit has intervened and hence the response to our application. I will update you all on the outcome. But for now all the best to all who are waiting. I am sure you will have your families before christmas. I received this email from UK Visa and Immigration - south and south east asia region is this something new?
Hi CON, congratulations and I hope you'll get your visa stamped on your passport. I've received the same mail today :) so excited :lol: and nervous too :!: . I wish everyone on this forum who are waiting for their visa will get it soon.

Hi everyone,

Timelines for today.

08:42 - sent a chargeable email to contact centre for an update;
09:23 - received a reply "your application is still awaiting a decision";
12:00 - email from my MP saying that the decision was made on Mrs ... European Economic Area (EEA) application on 27 November
12:00 - forwarded this email to contact centre and asked them to doublecheck;
14:03 - received confirmation from them "With regards to your enquiry about the status of your application, I can confirm that we have made a decision on your application. We cannot discuss the outcome of your application online or by telephone. If you have requested a courier service, you can track the location of your travel document online. If you have opted to collect your decision from a Visa Application Centre team they will notify you that your documents are ready for collection.";
14:16 - received an email from TLS "UK Visas & Immigration has now assessed your UK visa application and made a decision. Your documents and the decision will be sent back to either the UK Visa Application Centre where you applied, where we will contact you by email over the next few days to collect them, or if you are using the courier return service, will be sent directly back to the address you provided. Please note that TLScontact does not know the outcome of the assessment and has played no role in the decision-making process."

Previous timelines:
14th of August 2017 08:00 am - an application, biometrics and all supporting documents submitted to TLS Contact Visa Centre Kyiv;
16th of August 2017 10:30 am - email confirmation that UKVI received visa application;
23rd of August 2017 10:20 am - email saying that the application is currently being prepared for consideration by an Entry Clearance Officer;
31st of August 2017 09:47 am - email saying that visa application has been received and is under consideration;
5th of September 2017 09:00 am - I have called to the Contact Centre and asked for an escalation of the visa application. I didn't receive any confirmations after.
3rd of October 2017 09:32 am - I have called to the Contact Centre and asked for a second escalation of the visa application;
13th of October 2017 10:07 am - email saying that they continue to work on the application.

I also made a lot of calls to the Contact Centre between these actions, but without any achievements.

I also sent requests and received answers that they will do all possible to speed up the process:
    SOLVIT;
      my MP;

      I think my MP helped a lot, he updated me by email and even post from the House of Commons.
      Hi mate,

      Thank you for the update.

      I was wondering if you can share with your timelines of contacting the MP and Solvit, also did you receive an email stating that your application is nor straightforwrd?

      Hello to everyone,

      I read this thread every day to get more info and I see people are getting the "decision made" emails.

      I applied on the 3rd of July 2017 Istanbul, Turkey. Escalated via email as well as through the calls 8 times with "obviously" no luck. I also involved the MP as well as Solvit, they sent an email but no news so far from them too.

      I wonder what am I exactly not doing so that they cant make a decision on my case?! What else I need to involve or who do I need to contact to speed up the processing time?

          Hi,

          MP
          I've contacted my MP on the 27th of October 2017 11:24 (the second time). He has replied on the first of November. 3 weeks later I've received a letter by post from him that his adviser checked with the HO that some progress might happen on the 7th of December. On the 27th of November I sent an email confirmation to my MP and my thanks to him for the letter. On the 28th of November I received a reply from him with quoting his adviser that decision has been made on the 27th.

          SOLVIT
          24th of October - contacted Romanian SOLVIT
          25th - they requested documents:
          copy of your passport/ID
          copy of your wife's passport,
          copy of your marriage certificate,
          your registration certificate issued by the British authorities
          the proof/receipt of the visa application
          any correspondence you had with the British authorities
          27th - they confirm having received my documents
          30th - I've asked for an update
          2nd of November - they replied "The details of your case have been sent to the UK SOLVIT center"
          8th of November - I've asked for an update UK SOLVIT
          8ths of November - they "have accepted the case against the UK, and will be contacting the UK Authority about the application"

          Nothing from them after that.

          No he didn't, there is no priority service for EEA family permits. He submitted the documents in the usual way.

          Best Regards
          Hi Friends,

          All the best to everyone else. Dont worry stay put..

          Thanks,
          Gemma

          Hi all,

          My husband picked up his passport from Dhaka VSF today with his EEA Family permit stamp!! :D The wait was not long for us but regardless it was stressful. I wish you all best of luck and may you all get your permits before Christmas and get to celebrate Christmas with your family.

          Please let me know if you have any questions as to what documents I submitted and etc. I am more than happy to help you out.

          My husband's timeline was the following :

          Online application submitted - 4th November
          Biometrics and documents submitted at VSF - 7th November
          Emailed received from Sheffield that application has been received - 10th November
          SMS received from VSF that passport can be picked up - 27th November
          EEA family permit issue date on passport - 23rd November
          In total it took 13 working days from the day online application was submitted till the issue date on the passport.
          did your husband take any priority service or fast service (if there any).
          No he didn't, there is no priority service for EEA family permits. He submitted the documents in the usual way.
          Congrats and all the best. I am planning on applying for an EEA Permit for my wife, however I am not yet in the UK and we plan on travelling together. If this was your case then can you share the documents you submitted or anyone else that might have done this recently.

          So guys finally I received my Family Permit after 66 working days in all....

          Hers my timeline...

          Applied for my visa - 28th August 2017
          Application receive in UK - 5th September 2017
          Not straight forward mail received – 14th September 2017
          Escalated to UK Visa Immigration Center – 24 October 2017
          Not straight forward mail received - 25th October 2017
          Escalated to UK Visa Immigration Center – 24th November 2017
          Decision had been made email received - 28th November 2017
          Collected my passport - today 30th November 2017

          Since I'll be travelling with my wife together from Mumbai, I never had an option to contact the local MP.
          However, I did contact Solvit and PAP (Pre action protocol)
          And both did pretty well to resolve my situation.
          Cause I was informed by PAP that they will be contacting & resolving my situation within 14 days,they did take 21 days but resolved it.
          Additionally Solvit did inform me that they will be contacting me with regards to my case within 10 weeks that was in the month of October, however when I received an email on 28th November that a Decision was made on my application, I immediately received an email from Solvit that my case has been closed as a decision had been made by the UK immigration, which means that the both team were collaborating with regards to my EEA application.

          Moreover if you take a look on my timeline I had just escalated for the 2nd time dated 24th November 2017 and just after the 2nd escalation I received an email after 4 days that the decision was made, so guys 2nd escalation too did favor me in my case, so you can take a call on basis on my timeline you never know whats in store for you.

          Hence all the best for those who are waiting for their FP, I pray and I'm sure you too will get the FP as soon as possible.

          Regards,

          Oliver
