EEA family member permitt
Reading this forum from the beginning of my journey as well.
my husband Maldivian national applied for eea fam permitt in colombo sri lanka 31.7.
All documents submitted no problem.
No communication what so ever, 4th escalatiom sent today. Got in touch with local MP and nothing, send a complaint and nothing. Today it has been 90 working days. My marriage is falling appart:-( this is just shocking. I am czech national living and working in Uk for seven years.I feel absolutelly hopeless . If anyone have any other idea how can I get things moving please let me know.

Hi there

Need help as my mother in law just got rejected based on maybe an admin error or my error.
They said my mother in law daughter was ( they put my mothers name not my wifes)
Hence they rejected the eea visa could as they couldn’t find the evidence to connect my mother in law towards me as the sponsor.
I surely hope this is an admin error on there part.
So who do I appeal to?? How long does it take? And is there a cost for a appeal?
Thank you

Hello friends I have applied from Kolkata (VFs), India for EEA visa on 14th June 2017.... 123 days and still counting.... I have applied through a lawyer in Mumbai so dont really exactly on which date i got that "not straightforward " email.... but i know that i got it .... since then i have contacted the MP twice .... didnt escalate as i thought the lawyer should do that as i have paid 55k (30k more pending,as 85k in total)to apply for the visa .... but he hasn't done anything but just to let me know that my case is not straight forward ....I am probably the first one to apply for EEA visa from Kolkata , so i couldn't find any information about how to apply or the documents i needed , though i saw the list of document on UKBA website but still was not sure .... I wonder how long do i need to wait ....

Hi everyone,

As you know, I've got eea family permit 2 weeks ago.

But, I have a question. Do my partner who is EEA NATIONAL needs to have a residence certificate before I apply for a residence card. OR is it just enough that EEA national is working in the UK, it's almost a year right now. If that's the case, is there possibility to apply at the same time for residence card and residence certificate together, my partner and I. :)

Thank you in advance,

Alex

Received this email today after sending an email to the UK immigration to know the status of my application.

In regards to your query about the status of your application, your application is being considered and is currently awaiting a decision. Currently there could be a further review of your visa applications and hence the delay, your patience will be highly appreciated.

Hi guys,

Since you know its been a week I have got my Family Permit Visa,
I had few confusion going on since I received my FP, I did try to google it out but theres no specific information mentioned for what I'm looking out for,
I hope in this forum will guide me thru....

1) Since Family Permit is valid for only 6 months, what happens if the family permit is expired after 6 months, do we have to leave the UK and apply for 1 or we can still reside in the UK after the visa has expired but on what condition or is it termed illegal to stay in the UK after Visa expired.
2) I do know about applying for a residence card, however in my case, my spouse is not in the UK, I will be travelling with her to the UK and not joining her, hence she'll be looking out for a job, hence I'm not sure that will I be able to apply for a residence card, cause as per the condition she wouldn't have 3 months salary slip to show during my application for residence card.
3) and what happens when applying for the residence card just before a month of family permit is about to expire do we have to leave the UK.

Ill really appreciate any information given to clear my doubts from any of you awaiting visa or who have already gor the visa and may be the OP as well.

thanks some1
Oliver
