I don think they are either busy or short of staff they doing all on purpose Mayb they have some instructions to do it coz of brexit. They sending same emails to everyone that your application is not straight forward but they not doing any inquiry about any application.

To summarise, that's what we got so far, ordered by biometrics date and I went back a couple of weeks in this thread. Please post your timelines (for EEA Family Permit only, please!) and I'll happily keep that list updated.

Hi everyone,

Once an applicant receives the Family Permit, does the 6 months start from them moment you enter the UK (stamped) or does it start at a set date from when the application was approved?

What date is that, the date they approve the permit? The date you collect it from the place you submitted it?

Reason why i am asking is i have just picked up a new job which has a 6 week notice period and wont be able to just leave the country will need to see out my notice period- say my FP comes on 1nov2017 will i get 6 months from this date or 6 months from the moment i enter the uk?

Hello Everyone,

Today i completed 139 working days since I applied for Eea family permit. I have escalated thrice and today I got a mail from Sheffield as below-

Dear Byron *********

Regarding Visa Application: GWF0********
For BYRON **********

Thank you for your enquiry

As we have previously advised, the processing of this application has not been straightforward. We cannot give a time scale for when a decision will be made, however please be assured that we are continuing to work on the application and will make a decision as soon as we are able to.

If you have any further enquiries, please visit our website at www.GOV.UK

Kind Regards
SF

UKVI Contact Centre Service - UK Decision Making Centre
www.GOV.UK

I got this mail because I had escalated earlier and waited 15 days for their reply.

So now Sheffield has started sending email that We all have not straightforward application and it is too hard for them to make a decision...No timeline so they can take their own sweet time...So sad that I have to wait more.

I feel like I am separated from my partner and it is so sickening and hurting.

Hope they grant the permit soon.

Regards,
Byron

sorry to hear bryon. That is really bad. Where did you apply from?

I am waiting to hear back from the BBC on appropriate contact for the reporter who recently reported on the Home Office's inhumane treatment of us. Are we all ok to provide our story to the BBC to push the politicians to help us?

Mate, do you really expect from all to provide you with each story?

Everyone has almost the same scenario in terms of story and everybody is waiting for decision to be made.

You just need to provide with the link to this forum and BBC knows what to do next.

Agree with Alexkowalski87. Just provide BBC this link and they will have all the info.
As am not sure all will write to BBC.
Apprec if you will do the needful.

Drasl123, congrats! :) Have you received another not straightforward email after first time or not? :)

Lately, a lot of us received an email where they are saying or advicing us how our application is not straightforward and that they are gonna decide as soon as they are able to.
