You're welcome. It's no trouble at all.
That's exactly why I am doing it. To inform others that this exists and what to expect, it is the reason why this forum exists, not just for problem solving but also for sharing experiences good or bad
Will update again once they decide to lift this reporting requirement.

I don't think the reporting document was issued by mistake. I sent my application for FLR before the expiry date of my tier-4 visa. It was refused and I reapplied within 14 days. I also received this IS96 document and have been reporting every 2 months since January.
The immigration official said that even though I sent my application before the expiry date of my tier-4 visa, I'm not protected by Section 3C anymore as my application was refused. So, it's implied that it doesn't matter if we sent a new one within 14 days.

Hi Tamandua,
Thanks for sharing your experience.
I have to report weekly! I wish it was only once every couple of months, or better yet not at all!
I just fail to see how or why this is beneficial to either myself or the home office, what does it accomplish?

I believe they want to ensure that we will leave the country if our new application gets refused. That's why they retained our passports as well. If we fail to depart they will remove us.
Also, my application raises complex issues (because my husband wasn't exactly 'settled' in the UK but he is now) and they need more time to process it. Perhaps, your case is pretty straightforward and your application will be processed quickly. Hence, they have asked you to report weekly. You might hear from them soon.
Did you get the IHS refund?

I hope that you are right. Good luck to us both, i've always said that with the home office you never really know. They tend to make a mountain to of a molehill.
Yes, I received the IHS refund a couple of days ago at last.

I am also in the same boat, My flr fp was refused in may 2016, i then challenged the decision which was upheld by home office but they gave me in country right of appeal in dec 2016. I have been reporting since nov 2016 and its a pain every month, which is waste of time. Rang court and i was told that appeal dates are taking approx 48 weeks. so another 7 months to go to reporting. Strange thing is home office makes mistakes and applicants have to pay the price

Thank you for letting me know about this and sorry that you had to go through the same thing. It appears that most people are reporting once a month while I have to report once a week. The strange thing is that I have sent 2 letters one to the home office and another to Becket house dated March 20th and neither one has responded so far.
Sadly nothing to do except to keep on reporting until my extension comes through. Fingers crossed for me and you.

just saw a review regarding becketts house. my god it appears horrible. I can imagine the stress :
Becket House is an immigration reporting centre in London Bridge. People who have been granted temporary admission or their immigration status require them to report to a local Home Office branch are the service user of Becket House. It is normally quite busy in the morning and you may que up half an hour to an hour before being admitted into the building. You will be queuing up on the street outside the reporting centre so wear appropriate clothing. Upon entering the building you will be required to go through a metal detector and all of your belongings will be scanned. You then line up in a queue again and wait for your turn to be seen by an immigration officer at the window. Home office staff routinely collect paper from those who are queuing up inside just to sign on to lessen the waiting time of service users. Officers call out your name and return the paper when the signing in is complete. The scary thing about this place is that it has a short term holding facility and you could be detained there and moved to an immigration removal centre. The best practice to follow when you go to report there is to carry all the necessary paperwork and a basic mobile phone with all the important phone numbers saved on your sim card. You normally are treated with dignity and respect and in return expected to treat others the same. And remember, do not use mobile phone inside the building.

I requested them to change mine from monthly to atleast once every 3 months because i now have pending appeal and normally appeals are taking roughly a year. But they given me dates for every month rather then listening to my request. That is why i am reporting every month until i get a hearing date for appeal. This time is very stressing

Sadly this review is spot on! it is exactly how it happens.
You are required to queue up and talk to am immigration officer if it is your first time to report or if you have any questions. Otherwise if you'r just there to report, they will collect the paper pull you aside, go to the back (report) and come back and hand it to you and you are gone.
Once you get to an officer it takes less than a minute. But the whole process no matter what time you get there takes between 1 - 1.5 hours.

The letter the I posted to the Home office and to Becket house asked for the reason that I was made to report weekly - sent out on March 20th and no answer do far. Nothing to do but to comply, because if I miss an appointment, they will escalate it to the next level.

I also involved my MP in this which made no difference and HO said he has to report monthly and this cannot be changed or cancelled. So bottom line we all have to bear this pain until the resolution of appeal

Yes that seems to be the consensus. Just get on with it until our cases are resolved favourable. Fingers crossed for everyone on here that is having issues.

Iam sorry to hear this man :annoyedatukba
Personally dont think one should go through after our 50 K gets invested.
Iam in a limbo since my biometrics and next week 18 or 21 I would complete 3 months /12 weeks.
The timelines I have been observing is around 8 to 12 weeks to 16 weeks they seem to be coming back.
iam checking my spam folder just in case everyday.
Its just annoying and my morale is also hit badly.

I know exactly how you feel. I was actually lucky the first time round in the they didn't keep me waiting, I received my decision (refusal) just under 9 weeks from my date of application. I thought it would be delayed because it included Christmas and New years but it wasn't.
Hang in there man, I know exactly what you're going through. For everyone that is waiting, has an appeal, has to report etc being in limbo is never a good thing. Let's hope that our wait ends favourably. Keep us posted and good luck

More thank you'll ever know - I was there this morning ... it leaves a bad after taste. But it is what it is ... still do not know why I need to report, no one has been able to provide any answers. When I googled it, it said that IS96 is ONLY issued to asylum seeker, refugees and people that have been detained previously.
I am none of the above!

After reading the review about the reporting centre in London, I think I'm lucky. I have to report in Salford and there's no queue outside the building. I just go through security and wait in the waiting room for 15 minutes. No more than that. They seem to be very efficient and organised.
Well, there are more immigrants in London.

Mine was changed by the immigration officer at the reporting centre. Initially, I had to report every 2 weeks but the immigration officer printed out a new IS96 letter stating that I have to report every 2 months.
If you don't mind me asking, did you send the HO a pre-action protocol letter for judicial review? What was your claim?

I spoke to the employee at the window and they said I should talk to the manager. So I spoke to the manager, she was lovely, but she said that she can't do anything for me at all. She advised me to write a letter to my case worker at the home office asking why I received the IS96. I did send a letter dated March 20th to the Home Office and to Becket House. Neither one have responded so far.
I did send a PAP for JR but that was just to buy time. I withdrew it when I sent in a fresh application.

Hi guys,
Just updating this - been reporting weekly since April 1st like clockwork.
Home office never responded to my letter asking for the reason why I was made to report when I still had an application pending with them.
Is anyone else here waiting for an Entrepreneur extension and made to report?

Hi Guys,
Updating this thread once again. yet another month flew past and I am still reporting weekly @ Beckett House in London Bridge.
I have noticed that there were a couple of people on here in a similar position as myself where the initial application was refused and they applied for a fresh application. They did NOT have to report.
Is anyone else here reporting? Any ideas as how to get this reporting lifted while I wait for my decision or should I just keep reporting until I get my approval?

I am not sure why you are repeating yourself constantly and ask the same question when you have already be advised ?!
You MUST report as required until you hear back from HO
Advice is given based on my personal research and experience only. Do NOT contact me via private message for immigration advice

Hi Zimba88,
Many thanks for your prompt response.
1. I am still reporting like clockwork weekly as I have on other choice.
2.I find it quite surprising that despite the refusals in here, no one else was made to report.
3.I am asking the question to see if one of the new people that have joined the boards is going through the same thing.
