health surcharge for spouse of british citizen

Hi.

I am currently filling out my form to extend my Spouse Visa. I am a pakistani national married to a british citizen. I wanted to know if I still need to pay for the health surcharge. its £500. or am i exempt from paying it because my husband is British?

Yes, you have to pay. No, you are not exempt from paying.

I am a British Citizen, and my wife just had to pay £500 for her visa extension.
Unfortunately you are not exempt from paying.
