In late May applications will start for indefinite leave to remain for partners and spouses of British citizens affected by the changes to the regulations in June 2012. So far it appears no form is available.
Does anybody have any idea what the form will look like or what applicants will need to show? I am aware that applicants will need to have passed the Life in the UK test
Will they need to show how much time they have spent away from the country and will these checks be any more restrictive than other ILR applications?
Will those with UK degrees now need to pass a separate English test?
What financial checks will be applied?
Will they still need 6 dated letters sent to them at their home address?
Anything else?

I am aware that applicants will need to have passed the Life in the UK test Still Set(M) as it stands now. Possible HO will bring out a new form and it is the applicant's responsibility to ensure the most recent form is used.
Will they need to show how much time they have spent away from the country and will these checks be any more restrictive than other ILR applications? Currently for Set(M) only absences of 6 months or more need to be declared. Unlikely to change.
Will those with UK degrees now need to pass a separate English test? No, a UK degree is sufficient.
What financial checks will be applied? Yes
Will they still need 6 dated letters sent to them at their home address? Yes
Anything else? Nothing has changed, the requirements are still the same and possibly only the form that will change a bit.

I presume the OP has factored in that an ILR application can be submitted 28 days in advance.
As regards any changes, nothing has been announced and so we have to assume that things remain the same.

Still doesn't make it May though when rules changed in July. 9th July less 28 days is June sometime.

Sorry, I'm not sure where I got June from. The rules did indeed change on the 9th of July 2012 which means the applications on this pathway can be submitted in June. I'm sorry for the confusion and thanks for the reassuring answers. Hopefully the HO will be kind and update the form soon.
I assume the financial requirements will be simpler than for FLR(M) applications since the formula used for savings there has a multiplier of 2.5 representing 2.5 years. I hope that for applications for indefinite leave they are more reasonable in what they ask for financially.
