Post by Eli1986_UK » Thu Mar 23, 2017 5:44 pm

All,

I'm planning to invite my in-laws from India to UK for a month. I have gone through the home office website and below are the documents that I'm planning to submit, do you think if I have missed out any crucial document? I have enough cash in my account and is it mandatory to submit my in-laws bank's statement as well?

Hotel Booking for one month.
Air Tickets for my in-laws.
Passport Photo for my in-laws.
Original Passport of my in-laws.
Invitation Letter from me to Home office.
My In-laws Ration Card original and copy.
My In-laws Driving License original and copy.
My In-laws Voter ID original and copy.
My Verification of Employment from my Company.
My Bank Statements (6 months).
My Pay Slips (6 months).
My Passport Copy.
My Visa Copy.
My Council Tax Bill.
My Internet Bill.
My water Bill.
Appointment Letter Printout.
Online Application Printout.

They MUST submit evidence of their personal, financial circumstances and social ties to India.

Hello,

Thanks for your reply and sorry for not getting back to earlier. Do I have to book my air tickets already while submitting the visa application, the site says that it highly advises not to make any travel plans and now in a catch 22 situation.

No best not to book tickets until the visa is granted/approved.

Sure, I will not but don't I have to show my air tickets as a proof?

Thanks! Highly appreciated, just one last question.

Am doing their Visa application and in the Travel Information section , there is a Are you travelling with anyone?

Now am doing three different applications for my three in laws. Technically they don't have a visa yet and my hunch says that the above question is applicable for a individual who is accompanied by a person who has a valid visa? Is that correct?

Since none of them have a valid UK visa yet, should the answer to that be No?

No the question is NOT related to travelers who already have a visa. If you are submitting 3 applications for your family to travel together, you need to state YES and list the names in each application if it asks.

Thanks a lot (highly appreciated) , I have managed to almost complete the application, I just have few questions below:

For my mother in law who is a house wife, do I have to fill in the below details? Because Its my father in law who does the monthly expenses? I have selected the below answer instead of Unemployed.

What is your current working status?
Supprted by Spouse/Partner/Other

1) How much do you spend each month on living costs?
2) How much of your total monthly income is given to your family members and other dependants?

Also

3) Three of my in laws will be visiting (Father, Mother and Sister in law) and I have a two bedroom house with the master bedroom has an additional bed? So me and my wife will stay in the second bedroom and my in laws will be in the master bedroom. Is that okay or do I have to show one bedroom each for me & wife, one bedroom for father & mother in law and one bedroom for my sister in law?
