My Thai girlfriend applied for a UK visitor visa, the standard six month kind. Part of the documentation was that her boss had allowed her time off from work for a one month trip.
When the visa centre staff called the employer to check, it was first thing in the morning and the call had woken him up as he works until the early hours. He was a bit vague and still half-asleep… and made a couple of mistakes about my girlfriend’s salary and the details of her job that differed from the letter.
How much of a problem could this be? Is there likely to be a ten year ban for wrong information?
I'm worried they will be suspicious of this. Her boss was helpful, and signed a letter to say she has worked there for more than six years, and everything else was fine. But he just couldn't remember her exact salary.
